TYPES OF GLASS

Glass is an incredibly versatile material that can be used throughout your home, offering both functionality and aesthetic appeal. Beyond traditional uses like windows and tabletops, glass can enhance various spaces, such as balconies, pool fences, and staircases. Glass balustrades are an excellent choice for these areas, providing an elegant alternative to timber or metal while allowing for unobstructed views.

It's important to ensure that all glass used in these applications is made from Grade A toughened safety glass, with Grade A toughened laminated safety glass required for higher-level installations. Due to the strict safety guidelines and various considerations involved, it's crucial to choose a reputable supplier with expertise in this area.

In addition to structural uses, glass can be incorporated as a decorative feature. Consider using glass panels in doors or as stylish shower screens, available in a variety of patterns, colours, or even custom screen prints.

Glass splashbacks are also a popular choice for kitchens. Made from toughened glass, they are not only more hygienic due to fewer seams but also less likely to support mould growth, making them a practical and aesthetically pleasing option.

Finally, glass tables have become increasingly customisable, available in virtually any colour to suit your design preferences.
